Feed-in Tariffs.
When you send your excess solar energy back to the grid, the customer will receive a Feed-in Tariff (FiT) payment as a credit on your energy bill. The FiT is a rate that is set per kilowatt hour (kWh) and the rates vary depending on your retailer. The FiT helps households to keep a tab on any excess solar energy, so that it is not wasted. Credits = a reduction in electricity bills = lots of savings!
